Editing Task

We were given the task to edit clips of a face off. We used a variety of camera angles. Below is the short clip. From this task I haven't learnt a range of things: all filming must be done landscape as this is how we view it in the cinema or at home on our TV's. The lesson before hand we watched a video on cuts and transitions, from this we understood the different types of cuts and transitions. We used standard cuts in our clip as we couldn't use a variety of them. However in the future I will be able to utilize the different types.

Shot List

The camera circles around the two characters just like what the werewolf is doing. I wanted to try and do something...

Main Task Brief: Film the opening sequence of a new fiction film, including titles and soundtrack to last approximately two minutes.  In our Opening sequence we need to show understanding of what makes an opening sequence. To do this we looked at opening sequences from films such as  Candyman, Zombieland  and  Catch Me if You Can . We analysed the opening sequences and tried to work out what genre the film was depending on the connotations such as type of writing, soundtrack etc.
